A couple of months ago I mentioned the new historical journal of the Scottish Reformation Society.
I have just seen the most recent issue, that is available via print on demand. It has a delightful range of articles, there is one on Robert Bruce in Inverness (whose life was recently reviewed), another on Alexander Shields and the Revolution Settlement. The last two articles are full of fascinating images and tell the history of resistance to the 1892 declaratory act in Argyll and then a separate article on the Chisholmites of Achmore. I would heartily recommend it!

This month there are two New Year’s Day lectures - one from Barnoldswick and the other from 1979 by Rev. Campbell (Edinburgh).
